General Education

Starting fall 2023, all new students will be responsible for completing new general education requirements.

The Charlotte Core is the intentional and purposeful integration of the four competencies, Communication, Critical Thinking, Intercultural, and Quantitative/Data, into and across the general education curriculum, departmental curricula, and co-curricular activities to create an overarching and interconnected learning experience for undergraduate students at UNC Charlotte. These transferable competencies prepare students to be adaptable career professionals and engaged citizens.

Students should use DegreeWorks or speak with their Academic Advisor to ensure that all General Education requirements are being satisfied.
