Intended Majors

Intended Majors (IMEX)

As a University College student, you will have the opportunity to select from seven  Intended Major options. These designations are not actual majors but will help you craft a plan while you are a student in University College to take the best courses for what you intend to major in. The first six options include specific coursework to prepare you for declaring majors in these areas:

• Business (IMEX-BUSN)
• Computer Science (IMEX-CSCI)
• Engineering (IMEX-ENGR)
• Engineering Technology (IMEX-ETGR) – all Tech. majors which are not Fire Safety or Construction Management
• Fire Safety / Construction Mgmt (IMEX-FSCM)
• Nursing (IMEX-NURS)
• Explore (IMEX-EXPL) – any other major on campus!

These IMEX options will show on your DegreeWorks allowing you to see what you need to take to progress in each area. The Explore designation will show all coursework you’ve previously earned and how it fits into any major on campus with the exception of the six other IMEX options.
